The Five Finger Prayer
This is so neat. This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.
1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones like parents, brother, sister, closest friends who impacting our life.
2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. us, as much they hurt and point to us. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Also pray a lot for people that we point too everyday, they need our support too, because we are the one who knows their weaknesses. Keep them in your prayers, interseed for them, ask God’s grace, instead of pointing them.
3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for our boss , our spiritual leaders and covering, our pastors and administrators around our life.. ,our government leaders. These people shape our character to be more like Christ. They need God’s guidance.
4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger; as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain, our church friends, or people who don’t know Jesus yet. They need your prayers day and night. Weak in health, financial, good character, weak in their spiritual growth.
5. And lastly comes our little finger ; the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, “The least shall be the greatest among you.” Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively. Help yourself out of trouble, to do your part in obeying God’s words.
Our life should worshipping Him, 24 / 7 to pray and listen to His voice.
Many things need to pray for.
When you see your fingers, now you remember what to pray for.
Your fingers always be with you, so it’s easy to remember to pray all the time.
If we sleep, our spirit is not sleeping, they still can pray for us.
Command it in Jesus name, and they will do the job.
